Captain Log iPad App Pulled

Pushy Pixels, the developer of the iPad app ‘Captains Log’ have announced they are to pull there app from the app store after Paramount Pictures Corp which own the rights to star trek lodged a copyright infringement complaint.

On their website, PushyPixels said in a note on its Web site that the app “has been pulled due to alleged infringement according to Paramount Pictures.”

The app which looked like the Star Trek LCARS (Library Computer Access & Retrieval Systems) display let an ipad user access social network and email in a star trek stylee!

Although the company have said it was original in design and layout, its similarities has meant that they will now kill the app rather than get into any long drawn out legal battle.

So I guess we will have to wait and see if Paramount brings out one of their own…
